  Since 2000, Angie Pleasant has been building peace by training and coordinating the PeaceBuilders Program for the Archdiocese of Louisville schools in KY. At the same time, she coordinated the program at her own school, St. Edward, where she was the full-time Art Therapist. After leaving St. Edward School, she worked as a Director of Support for PeacePartners, Inc. She trained, supported, coached, and visited many PeaceBuilders sites across the nation. September 2011, Angie joined our team as a Bloomer.
Today, you will find Angie working as the Art Therapist/Counselor at Meredith-Dunn School. She coordinates the PeaceBuilders Program at her school and feels children who experience peaceful and kind adults will create a better future for themselves and for the world. Providing a peaceful environment for adults to work in and for children to learn is vital.
On a day off, you will find Angie spending time with her family and friends, playing volley ball, or more than likely hitting the golf course for 18 holes! She enjoys art and travel as well.
Angie's favorite peace quote defines what she believes we all need to do to build peace everyday. We can build peace in our cars, at work, in our minds, at our cubicle, and even standing in line at the grocery store. It begins with us first and our understanding of others' journeys. |
