Michelle Molina has served as the Chief Executive Officer and Owner of PeacePartners since its inception in May of 2003. Prior to the creation of PeacePartners, she served as a teacher in grades 4-8 and administrator for the Paramount Unified School District in California for ten years. She has been a PeaceBuilder since 1994 and a PeaceBuilders trainer and curriculum developer since 1998.
Raised in Orange County, Michelle has been in Long Beach for over 20 years where she currently lives with her two children and husband, John, CFO for Molina Healthcare. Michelle earned her Bachelor’s degree in Radio/TV Communication from California State University, Fresno. Michelle is an active Long Beach community member acting as a GATE Parent Advisory Committee member to LBUSD, working with the PTA, and serving on the Trustees, an educational board of the Aquarium of the Pacific. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Long Beach B.L.A.S.T., a youth mentoring organization and in Cameo, an auxiliary to the Assistance League of Long Beach whose philanthropy involves long‐term mentoring relationships between high school students and professional women.
Michelle Molina is also managing partner of Millworks, translated simply as “the work of the mill” Molina, in English. Millworks creates socially-responsible investment, development, and property management in downtown Long Beach. Their current projects include a South Pine entertainment district restaurant resell and a $60 million adaptive reuse of the former Press Telegram newspaper building and the historic Meeker-Baker building on 2.5 acres of North Pine property. This project, 200k sq ft of office space in North Pine, is predicted to create 900 jobs and over $2 billion in community revenue. She is a member of HOPA, Historic Old Pine Association, and participates in many North Pine charitable and arts projects.
Michelle loves working at PeacePartners because she is able to surround herself with talented people working for an incredible cause in a creative and positive environment.
Michelle loves reading a good book, enjoying food and travel, and watching films. In large contrast to her hobbies, she also enjoys adventurous activity: skiing, kayaking, hiking, and motorcycling—the faster the better! She is happy when she is surrounded by the people she loves: her husband, family, friends and colleagues. She is happiest when she is problem solving and supporting other people.
She loves the following quote because it helps to explain a non-traditional view of peace. It supports her belief that we need not fear conflict, confrontation, and chaos as long as we enter into them knowing our goal is a peaceful resolution. It is a great relief to people who suffer!

“Peace. It does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work.
It means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.”
