Praise is fundamental to building peace. Recognizing and rewarding people’s positive attributes and behaviors brings about more of the same. At Harmony Elementary, praise is plentiful because the wise adults here know the power of positive reinforcement.
PraiseNotes are used to strengthen and support PeaceBuilders behaviors. At Harmony, the notes are displayed on unique PraiseBoards found in every classroom and in other spots around this peaceful campus. What a thrill it is for children to have compliments and encouragement about themselves displayed for others to acknowledge. |
