Donna Burcher joined PeacePartners in April of 2004. Before joining PeacePartners, Donna was an English professor at a university and several colleges in San Diego, CA.
What Donna likes about working for PeacePartners is knowing that the work she does makes a difference. She is proud to tell people what she does for a living and happy to explain all about the PeaceBuilders program.
An interesting fact about her is that, before settling happily in suburbia, she and her husband had a small farm and raised pigs, goats, geese, ducks and chickens. She used to play guitar and sing in a restaurant, too! Donna loves spending time with her immediate and extended family. While she enjoys spending time with friends, she also likes being alone and reading a good book. Donna also enjoys exercising and traveling.
Donna’s favorite peace quote expresses her belief that the small things we do each day, as we interact with others, are the really important things. If everyone would make small daily differences, what a peaceful world it would be. |
“We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference,
ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time,
add up to big differences that we cannot foresee.”
