Liberty Elementary is proud to be a PeaceBuilders site. A major goal at this site is to spread peace into the community and they are doing an outstanding job!

The principal at this site, Ms. Ailene Cammon, has reached out to the community in various ways to ensure that her students get all the academic and PeaceBuilding support they need.
In response to her efforts, they have received assistance from a local bank and from a local church. It's surprising how many people and establishments are ready and willing to help when education and building peace are the goals!
A new branch of Washington Mutual Bank is opening in Liberty's community of Victorville, and they have enthusiastically agreed to sponsor PeaceBuilders at the school. For every new account that is opened, Washington Mutual has
agreed to donate $25 in support of the PeaceBuilders program at Liberty Elementary!
Along with sponsorship from Washington Mutual Bank, Liberty Elementary also has the sponsorship of High Desert Church in Victorville, which supports the school's efforts to build peace and to educate young people to be future PeaceBuilders.

We are proud and impressed by the wholehearted manner in which Ms. Cammon and the staff and students at Liberty Elementary have reached out to their community-not only to garner support, but
to bring them into the PeaceBuilders fold. When this school family pledges to build peace at home, at school and in their community each day they mean it!
We know that PeaceBuilders is effective at sites when all the adult staff members model how to be PeaceBuilders for young people. The adults at Liberty have been setting a
fantastic example for the children since they began using the program almost two years ago. Now they have raised the bar. Staff, students and parents at Liberty Elementary are modeling the
PeaceBuilders Principles for the city of Victorville! They are making friends and building peace. They are not passive PeaceBuilders. The folks at Liberty are forging a peaceful future. |
