There are many reasons people become leaders. Some enjoy the power of giving mandates to others. Some are
thrust into power but don't necessarily welcome the position. Some quietly, graciously assume a leadership
role because they have passion and a will to affect change.
Our PeaceBuilder of the Month is the later kind of leader. Her passion for peace has placed her in a leadership
role as the PeaceBuilders coordinator at her school and her kindness and expertise have expanded her role as a
wise person throughout the beautiful island of Saipan.

Rebecca's kind and helpful spirit make her a natural PeaceBuilder. Her creative ideas make her the kind of
leader who turns work into fun. Her willingness to share her ideas and her time with others in her school, in
her district, and across the globe make her an extraordinary PeaceBuilder upon whom we are thrilled to bestow
the honored of PeaceBuilder of the Month.
