On January 12th, a devastating magnitude 7.0 earthquake ravaged the island of Haiti.
Tens of thousands of people are feared to have perished.
Many more are injured.
So many are in need of help.
We are PeaceBuilders. We help others.
Together we can make a bigger difference.
We are calling on PeaceBuilders sites across the nation and in U.S. Territories to launch a penny
drive
to raise money to assist the Haitian people in this time of need.

How can you participate?

- Email us at helphaiti@peacebuilders.com. Provide your site name with city and state along
with a contact name, phone number
and email address.
- Immediately announce the PeaceBuilders Help Others in Haiti - Penny Drive at your site.
- Be sure to provide geographical and cultural information/lessons about Haiti.
- Let young people and staff know that if we all give a little, we can help a lot - every penny counts!
- Ask youth to seek donations to augment their own contributions.
- Quickly after 2/28, send your site's collective donation directly to the Red Cross,
and send us notification (at helphaiti@peacebuilders.com) about how much you raise
along with photos. We will document this important Help Others event on the PeaceBuilders website.
- Please provide signed release forms for all people clearly distinguisable in the photos you send.
