St. Paul School - Louisville, KY
The passion of Principal Andrea Dennison and her staff at St. Paul School is so strong that they’ve established a powerful, positive PeaceBuilders climate at this exciting school.

Starting in the fall, Ms. Dennison began publishing a monthly PeaceBuilders newsletter to inform her staff about the PeaceBuilders Principle that will be the focus of the month and about their responsibilities in coaching the concept in a manner that makes it meaningful and relevant to the young people at the school.

According to their plan, two class rooms each month will be responsible for decorating one of the two main bulletin boards at the school to reflect their PeaceBuilders Principle of the month and to serve as a reminder to the entire staff and student body that they are sincere PeaceBuilders.

In November, the PeaceBuilders Principle the entire school concentrated on is Praise People.
This beautiful bulletin board depicts the students in the class: they are happy, peaceful children!
This clever bulletin board takes the shape of a tree. Just like a healthy tree in bloom, this praise tree is covered in PraiseNotes.
A leaf on the praise tree holds a compliment for the cafeteria staff for the hard work they do everyday.
Along with the common bulletin boards, each classroom has its own PraiseBoard to recognize and reward young people for the peaceful behaviors and attitudes they demonstrate.
One class PraiseBoard lists each student’s name and leaves a space for PraiseNotes to hang underneath. The students in this class are all being praised and recognized!
Another class formed their PraiseNotes into the shape of a tree! Like rain nurtures a tree, praise nurtures our young people and our colleagues.
Each month for the rest of the school year, two different classrooms will be responsible for the common bulletin boards. The boards will be decorated according to the PeaceBuilders Principle that is the focus that month. Each of the teachers in the classrooms will teach lessons that correlate to and illustrate the focal Principle, but all the Principles will be modeled and discussed on an ongoing basis as St. Paul begins its PeaceBuilders journey.

We are happy to welcome St. Paul to the PeaceBuilders family. Their enthusiasm and creativity will make us stronger and encourage us all to keep the energy level high!
