Jefferson Elementary School - Monticello, FL
The adults at Jefferson Elementary School know the importance of modeling the PeaceBuilders Principles in order to encourage their students to be PeaceBuilders.

One of the many ways they promote a PeaceBuilding culture is through the wide use of PraiseNotes which are displayed on unique, creative PraiseBoards all over campus.

On this bright, organized PraiseBoard, each young child in this classroom has a
pocket to store his or her PraiseNotes.

Along with PraiseNotes, this PraiseBoard includes the PeaceBuilders
Pledge poster and other peaceful designs.

The bottom right corner of this PraiseBoard has pockets for both PraiseNotes and Apology Notes so that youth can write a praise or apology at anytime. The display also includes a list of logical consequences for non-PeaceBuilding behaviors along with the PeaceBuilders Pledge indicating that this wise teacher uses PeaceBuilders as an important component of the discipline plan.

This colorful PraiseBoard is almost full of praise for the children in this classroom who are certainly empowered and encouraged by the positive attention they receive from their teacher.

Children have decorated the border of this beautiful PraiseBoard. Special PeaceBuilders are acknowledged at the top of the board and an award for "Most Improved Behavior" is posted on the right side. Plenty of positive reinforcement is occurring in this class!

PraiseNotes, an award for "Most Improved Behavior," and special honors in the shape of apples on this classroom "Wall of Fame" are all wise ways to notice the good things young people do each week.

This very large PraiseBoard allows lots of room to shower children with the praise they need to encourage them to do their best and to increase peace at their school.

This clever PraiseBoard is a "who's who" of wise PraiseNote recipients.

This 5th Grade PraiseBoard is a combination of rewards and expectations. The PeaceBuilders wall includes PraiseNotes, the PeaceBuilders Pledge, classroom rules, and encouraging words and photos. Students in this class know just what is expected of them and they are encouraged to do their best.

The creative staff at Jefferson Elementary illustrates that every PraiseBoard can be different and proves that "different" is a good thing because it opens our minds to new ideas. PeaceBuilders at Jefferson Elementary appreciate the differences in others and praise the good in all!
