Wise people at Seton Catholic School know that being a PeaceBuilder is a way of life. They understand that building peace extends beyond the classroom and the school yard. At Seton, PeaceBuilders is becoming part of family life as well.
As a homework assignment meant to reinforce the PeaceBuilders Principles at home, a PeaceBuilders Commitment Pledge was sent to families and they were asked to read it with their son or daughter, to sign it, and to return it to school to be posted and shared. |

| Found in the “What is Peace?” section of the PeacePack, The Commitment Pledge asks the child/teen to be a good citizen and to make an effort to make a difference to other people. |

| The Commitment Pledge asks parents to take an active role in building peace at home by reading the pledge and talking about the Principles and what they mean with their child. |
This simple assignment is a surefire way to spread peace into the homes of your community. Once parents understand the wisdom and simplicity of the PeaceBuilders program, they will be more likely to practice the Principles at home. And as more adults model this way of life, our young people will be much more inclined to make it their way of life.
Praise to Seton Catholic School for taking that extra step to spread peace beyond the school campus.
