Visual cues are a very important aspect of faithful implementation of the PeaceBuilders program. As children wander around the site, they should see reminders of their identity as PeaceBuilders. For people who visit a PeaceBuilders site, these visuals make clear that peace is a priority.
At PS 2, beautiful and permanent PeaceBuilders murals have been created to decorate the school and to identify the students and staff as wise PeaceBuilders.

PS 2 also has a spectacular PeaceBuilders display that honors students of the month.

And along with the visual reminders, PS 2 does a fantastic job reminding students, staff and families that building peace is a priority. PeaceBuilders is the focus of the weekly newsletter.

We praise PS 2 for making peace a focus for students and staff. When building peace is part of the day to day operations at a site, it becomes second nature for the children, who will grow to be PeaceBuilding citizens and leaders. The students at PS 2 are well on their way! |
