Carrie Ahonen joined the PeacePartners team in August of 2003. Being one of the first employees of the company, she has worn many different "hats" and enjoys being referred to as the "go to" person for questions on company history. Most recently, Carrie held the position of Senior Director of Product Development. She gained valuable experience in product development while working for an educational materials company prior to joining PeacePartners. Her most memorable job experience came working in the theatre arts while attending the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Women's Studies.
Carrie's favorite thing about working for PeacePartners is that we practice the six PeaceBuilders Principles in our office. She has grown as an individual thanks to the program and knows that it works even with adults. She's proud to say she is a PeaceBuilder!
A surprising fact about Carrie is that, during her youth, she was a child actor in the Andrew Lloyd Webber production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." The play starred Donny Osmond and she was excluded from a specific scene because she was taller than him! She can still be found dancing around the office-an activity that makes her very happy. She also enjoys traveling the country to see live music, dreaming, reading, and riding her bike to work.
Her favorite peace quote reminds her to act, speak and think in a way that supports being a PeaceBuilder everyday.

“Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek,
but a means by which we arrive at that goal.”
