The more fun, meaningful and interesting we make a subject—whether it be math or PeaceBuilders—the better chance we have of engaging young people in the learning process; and engaging students is the key to success.
At Roosevelt Elementary School, one way the fifth graders become invested and involved in PeaceBuilding is through their participation in the Hula Club: a combination of acting, singing and hula dancing. Each year, these talented entertainers raise money through ticket sales to their performances, and the money is used to create PeaceBuilders murals. |

Fusing PeaceBuilders into extra curricular activities like the Hula Club and into fun projects like painting PeaceBuilders murals ensures the young people at Roosevelt Elementary School enjoy being PeaceBuilders.
