At St. Edward School, teacher Michele Young created a wonderful PeaceBuilders bulletin board as a concluding activity after talking to her students about ways they could affect world peace.

| Meet Ms. Young's PeaceBuilders. |
The students in Ms. Young's class understand that peace begins with them and their everyday activities. As part of the lesson, students brainstormed ways they can build peace through their actions and attitudes. They made a pact to try to make peaceful decisions and to remember that they set an example for others.
We praise Ms. Young for being a wise person to her students and for letting them know that they can increase or decrease peace in their immediate environment but that they also have the power to build peace around the world through the activities they involve themselves in.
We praise Ms. Young's students for thinking globally and for working to create a safer, more peaceful world for all people. It is great to create a peaceful home and school environment - to go beyond that and work to build global peace is an inspiration. |
