Another impressive site in the city of Burbank is Edison Elementary where visual cues abound illustrating that this is a PeaceBuilders site.

One classroom hung a banner in the hallway depicting their commitment to PeaceBuilders.

Self portraits of all the children from both a morning and afternoon kindergarten class adorn a PeaceTree. The children are holding hands as a symbol of peace.

The main hallway displays a tile mural. Each tile was created either by a student, a staff member or a member of the community. Many of the tiles show the school's commitment to creating a peaceful environment in which the children can learn.

Speaking about the power of the PeaceBuilders program, Edison's principal, Laura Flosi says, "We have been using the program since January of 2000. The staff here does an excellent job of incorporating the PeaceBuilders Principles into their classrooms so that each year the children build upon what they have learned the year before. By the time they graduate to middle school, our goal is that they will have incorporated the PeaceBuilders Principles into their everyday lives and that they will keep these Principles with them throughout the rest of their lives."
